The number of confirmed infections with SARS-CoV-2 in Namibia has increased from 16 to 18. As the Minister of Health and Social Services, Kalumbi Shangula, announced today, two Namibians tested positive, a 66-year-old and a 28-year-old woman. Neither would show any symptoms suggesting Corona.

According to Shangula, the two women have returned from South Africa and were tested in the quarantine camp. The total number of persons tested is still very low at 2,681. Due to estimates, Namibia has 2.4 million residents.
