Die Zahl der best\u00e4tigten SARS-CoV-2-Infektionen in Namibia liegt seit 34 Tagen unver\u00e4ndert bei 16. Das teilte Gesundheitsminister Kalumbi Shangula heute mit. Davon seien mittlerweile zehn genesen. Den sechs aktuell Infizierten gehe es gut. Allerdings liegt die Zahl der Tests mit 1.511 noch immer sehr niedrig.<\/p>\n

358 Personen befinden sich Shangula zufolge noch in Quarant\u00e4ne. Insgesamt seien 968 Personen unter Quarant\u00e4ne gestellt und 610 davon mittlerweile entlassen worden.<\/p>\n

Zugleich betonte Shangula, dass die Staaten Afrikas im Vergleich mit anderen L\u00e4ndern nur marginal von der Corona-Pandemie betroffen seien. Von den weltweit 3,8 Millionen bekannten Infektions-F\u00e4llen seien lediglich 1 Prozent in Afrika registriert worden. Bei den 268.000 Todesf\u00e4llen betrage der Anteil Afrika sogar nur 0,5 Prozent.<\/p>\n

Als Quelle der Zahlen nannte Shangula die Weltgesundheitsorganisation WHO. Demnach liege Europa hinsichtlich der bekannten COVID-19-Infektionen und -Todesf\u00e4lle mit 44 und 58 Prozent aller F\u00e4lle weltweit an der Spitze, gefolgt von Amerika mit 42 und 33 Prozent. Shangula wies allerdings nicht darauf hin, dass in Afrika bislang viel weniger Personen testet wurden als in den anderen genannten Gebieten.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
